Rohri Hills Harappan Civilization

The archaeological sites of the Buddhist period are very numerous in Upper Sindh. Apart from the presence of cities and stupas, they are often represented by simple scatters of potsherds. For instance they recur on the top of the Rohri Hills terraces and, much more commonly, along the shores of the salt lakes that characterize the desert landscape, which surrounds of the town of Thari, along the western fringes of the Thar Desert.
